Excel Industries was founded in 1947 as a one man machine shop in the basement of the home of John Nicholas.  In the early fifties as Excel began to grow the company moved to its present location on Rte. 5 at the Clarence/Newstead border (just outside Buffalo, NY). 

Excel Industries is currently being run by the second generation of Nicholas' with "Nick" Nicholas as President. "Nick" oversees a operation which has grown from one machine to a vast array of computerized and manual machines capable of handling all aspects of precision machining.

Excel prides its self on its prompt quoting of jobs (usually 1 hr to 24 hrs max) and flexibility in turning around a finished product.  Excel's flexibility allows for quoting of jobs on a fast turnaround basis or a standard delivery basis depending on the customer's requirements.
  
Although Excel's capabilities and size has grown, Excel still prides itself in being run as a personable family owned company.  Though possessing the latest in technology in the shop a customer will never be subjected to the frustrations of voice mail and messaging at Excel.  All calls to Excel are handled personally by either  "Nick", Mark Steck (General Manager), or Craig Nicholas (Office Manager).
